When you start a new brand, one of the hardest (and most exciting!) parts is naming it. We wanted something that felt strong, rooted in the outdoors, and connected to our own experiences on the trail and running an outdoor shop since 1994. That\u2019s how Trailkraft<\/strong> was born \u2014 a name that nods to skill, resilience, and the creative craft of life outside.<\/p>

The Word \u201cKraft\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>

\u201cKraft\u201d is a word shared across much of northern Europe.<\/strong> In German, Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish, it means strength<\/em> \u2014 not only the muscle to climb or carry, but the resilience to endure. For us, it\u2019s more than just physical power: it\u2019s the skill and perseverance you develop when you spend time in the wild. From the patience of a long ascent to the problem-solving of a tricky climb, kraft<\/em> is what keeps you moving forward.<\/p>

It\u2019s also a nod to kraft paper<\/strong> \u2014 that unassuming, eco-friendly packaging material with a history as strong as its fibres. Used to wrap parcels for long journeys, its name comes from the same root as ours: strength. At Trailkraft, that legacy continues through our commitment to sustainability<\/u><\/a>. Our clothing is built to last, and when it reaches the end of its life, our Remill\u00ae process recycles every fibre into something new \u2014 just as kraft paper is reborn again and again.
